• The Cronulla Sharks spent over 10 years obtaining approval for a portion of their extensive landholdings which was ultimately obtained in 2009. At that time, the Club had a debt of over $13million and an expectation that the approved development would serve to place the Club in a strong financial position.
  • In 2010, the Sharks engaged Winston Langley to review the approval and advise as to whether it represented the highest and best use for the land. Following this review, Winston Langley worked for 2 years with the Club to develop a new property strategy that would secure the Club’s future.
  • After a lengthy process initiated and conducted by Winston Langley, a development partner for the Club was appointed in 2011 and approval has been obtained for a development comprising 870 residential apartments, new playing fields, a new 6,000m² Club premises, 16,500m² retail shopping centre and a new hotel.
  • Winston Langley remains integrally involved with the project, both in terms of representing the Club’s interests in the overall development and in working closely with the Club in the design and construction of the new Club facility.
